Hello!

If you landed here, you’re likely interested in getting to know who I am (or maybe, you’re just curious!).

In these few paragraphs, I tell my tale — giving you an idea of the people and events that marked my journey most… both as a Copywriter and as a Human Being (in general).

Because, as long as I can tell, that’s what we’re here for: building connections.

I hope my story will give you something.

*Enjoy your reading,

Niccolò*

Dissatisfaction and shiny object syndrome

My journey till here was anything but linear.

Back in my adolescence, I was already having a somewhat turbulent time — changing schools three times in a row, writing (but never publishing) a 200+ page novel, and learning Spanish and French from scratch, by myself (just so that I could attend a language studies institute).

It wasn’t long after that I first discovered the ‘digital world’, before my 20s.

Like any proactive (but nonconscious) youngster, I tried my luck in plenty of questionable (and unsuccessful) projects — from matched betting, to “running” an e-commerce and, finally, even trying to work as a salesman for a financial consulting company**.**

And so it goes… down the loophole of shiny object syndrome!

I was a typical enthusiastic young man: I had a strong will, but zero idea of what to do.

The (life-changing) discovery I casually made

Results (unsurprisingly) weren’t coming.

I had no idea of the whole, complex world of dynamics behind each of these projects.

However, I could get something out of them (on top of numerous soft skills, such as team management and some sales-related skills).

In order to get funds for my various projects, I started writing, and creating content on a freelancing platform

My personal “ah-ha” moment

I realized that, for the first time in my Life, I was earning money by writing (a passion of mine that I had ‘abandoned’ for a fairly, too long time).

Not only that: my work was having an impact, and I felt like I belonged to something bigger than just myself.

It was by that time that I first, really learned what a copywriter was: I felt deeply charmed by the thought of generating an impact by writing, and that my words could make a change in the world around me (today, it still feels like a superpower, to me!)

So, well: I had to start playing it seriously.

I started studying intensively: courses, masterclasses, videos, and — on top of them all — a lot of practical, on-field work.

Becoming a VAT owner and launching my first international business

and the results finally came.

In just a few months-span, I started to collaborate with several SaaS companies and fellow copywriters.

I became a VAT owner, officially launching my first business!

Oh, and I quite forgot: I started traveling the world on my first digital nomad trips, too.

That year I got on a plane, without telling anybody (not even my family) where I was going to stay for the month…

Crazy experiences (and gratitude)

In the meantime (and several years after) a lot of stuff went by.

Things like collabs with unicorn SaaS startups, invitations to strategic meetings with French managers of international corporations, and a literally blind person who accompanied me and my business partner in the streets of Faro, Algarve.

But a lot of gratitude too, and a big realization: I was finally helping others with what I could do best.

…but what about today?

Well, the rest is yet to be written!

My biggest challenge, today, is sharpening my skills even more, getting into projects where I have strategic and high-responsibility roles, and making an even greater impact on humans, (other) animals, and the environment.

(Also in sight of one (or multiple) future companies… but that’s yet another chapter of my story🙂.)

I intend to do it by never stopping to learn, up till I become the right person to realize the ideas I have in my mind (or that are in the minds of similar-minded, fellow dreamers!).

Because, as my friend Pavlos taught me in my one-month nomad stay in Sofia, Bulgaria, last August…

”Work on yourself, and on becoming the right person: otherways, when the opportunity will knock on your door, you won’t be able to catch it anyways.”
